About Patricia Daly

Patricia Daly is an experienced and internationally recognized nutritional therapist (MSc, dipNT, mBANT, rCNHC) specialising in the personalised application of ketogenic metabolic therapies for recovery from chronic health challenges. She credits the ketogenic lifestyle for successfully quieting an aggressive eye tumour she was diagnosed with fifteen years ago. In 2021, she completed her MSc degree in “Advanced Nutrition in Research and Practice” at Middlesex University in London.

Patricia is co-author of The Ketogenic Kitchen, a best-selling cookbook that includes meal plans for therapeutic carbohydrate restriction. Born in Switzerland and living in Ireland, Patricia is a proud founding and advisory member of the European Keto Live Center based in Switzerland. Nothing makes her prouder than witnessing her clients transform from by-standers to active and empowered participants on their health journey.


No, there is no guarantee that you will be in nutritional ketosis after following the programme. Everybody responds differently- some people go into ketosis within a few days whereas for others it can take weeks or sometimes even months. You will be on a clear path to nutritional ketosis, though. You might need a session with an experienced keto practitioner who can fine tune your protocol, but you won’t have to spend money on a whole series of consultations.

There will be lots of recipes, guidelines and tips available that also cater for different allergies and intolerances. Patricia has several tools that can help you detect intolerances but if you’re really struggling, your best option is to consult with a nutrition professional who gives you individual guidance on this.

Patricia teaches you in much detail how to find the macronutrient ratio (carbohydrates, proteins and fats) that will help you achieve your goal. You can also fine-tune your programme based on your blood tests and food preferences/sensitivities but also depending on where you live and the seasons. To get to the root cause of more persistent health issues after addressing the foundations taught in this course, you might benefit from a session with an experienced practitioner to help you with this.

No. It would be misleading to state that implementing and following a ketogenic approach was easy and didn’t require any particular commitment! You need to be willing and able (ie not suffering from any of the contraindications) to make a change, otherwise, you might not get the desired results. It’s the same with many things in life: If you don’t put in the work, you will likely not see the desired outcome.

This is a very common problem. The ketogenic diet is based on whole instead of processed foods and some of the most nutritious foods on the planets are also incredibly good value. You WILL have to be open to try new foods, though, and start cooking your own meals if you don’t already do so.

Patricia has supported clients in the implementation of a vegetarian or vegan ketogenic diet before, however it’s not something she encourages because it does require specialized guidance, especially when it comes to supplements. The ketogenic diet is restrictive as it is, and following a vegetarian approach will make it even more challenging.

Although the course is clearly geared towards patients that are keen to address their metabolic issues with a ketogenic lifestyle, many practitioners have gone through my past courses and programmes and found them highly beneficial to their practice. Many experts in the metabolic health fields have participated in Patricia’s Keto Masterclass (launched in 2015) and other courses because they needed knowledge, expertise and skills in the practical implementation of metabolic health protocols.
